TRAILS

Surrounded by wilderness, there are approximately 7km of  inter-connecting hiking and cross-country skiing trails on the 159 acres. Care was taken to follow existing  animal trails and to find unique features along the routes such as an old birch tree with bear claw scratches at various heights, a dead tree which has become a woodpecker condominium, etc. The trails are shared with wildlife and remain uneven but wider for natural comfort. Good walking shoes are recommended. The trails offer inspiring ideas and pictures for the artist and serenity to the soul for all of us. We urge you to book a hike or a cross-country skiing experience with a friend or group. Top this off with a catered meal by Lori Paras of  Ruby Moon Catering...... an experience not to be missed. In deference to the wildlife, we restrict the number of people using the trails to a limit of 24 at any one time.

NIGHT WALKS

Lit only by the moon and stars and frequently by the Aurora Borealis, Ron, a professional guide, will take you on a never to be forgotten walk of discovery through the sounds and sights of the wilderness nocturnal world of light and shadow. Return with heightened senses to refreshments and gentle conversation.

Just 35 minutes from Thunder Bay's Downtown, you will find us:  off the grid and off the beaten path.  Escape from the daily grind and find a sanctuary outside of the rigid world.  Within minutes, you will find that tension in your shoulders and jaw is beginning to vanish.  As the landscape, the wildlife and the rustic environment reach out to you, you will find that you are reaching out to yourself.
